Eucharistic Adoration is an opportunity to step away from the noise and busyness of everyday life and spend time in prayer and silence before Jesus Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.
“Because Christ himself is present in the sacrament of the altar, he is to be honoured with the worship of adoration.”
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1418
The Catechism describes visiting the Blessed Sacrament as “a proof of gratitude, an expression of love, and a duty of adoration toward Christ our Lord.”
You do not need special words or prayers. Come before the Lord as you are — to pray, to listen, to give thanks, or simply to rest for a while in His presence.
